Stairs & runners
Stair carpets and runners fitted in Wrexham
Fitted stair carpets, runners and landings — measured free and fitted by our own team.

Stairs are the hardest-working part of any house and the hardest part to fit well. We measure, supply and fit stair carpets and runners across Wrexham with our own team, so the same people who quote the job are the ones who do it.
You can go for a fitted carpet across the full width of the stairs, or a runner down the middle with the wood showing at the sides. Come and see the ranges in our Rhosymedre showroom, or we will bring samples to your home and lay them on the stairs so you can see them in place.
Winders, half-landings, curved treads and matching the landing to the flight are all normal work for us. We will also tell you honestly which carpets stand up to stair wear and which ones do not.
Straight flights
A clean, fully fitted finish from the bottom step to the landing.
Winders and turns
Carefully cut and fitted so every tread looks the same as the last.
Runners on wood
A strip of carpet down the centre with the timber left on show at the sides.
Stairs and landing together
Matching the flight and the landing so the whole space flows.

Looking after it
- Vacuum stairs regularly — dirt works into the nose of each tread first.
- Use the hose attachment along the edges and in the corners of each step.
- Deal with spills straight away rather than letting them soak in.
- If you have a runner, check the rods or bars stay tight over time.
- Ask us about a fresh nosing if the front edges wear before the rest of the flight.
Good to know
Questions we get asked a lot
What is the difference between a fitted stair carpet and a runner?
A fitted stair carpet covers the full width of each tread and riser. A runner sits down the middle and leaves the wood showing at each side, usually held with rods or bars. We fit both and can show you how each looks on your staircase at the measure.
Can you carpet stairs with a turn or winders?
Yes. Winders, half-landings and curved treads are all part of normal stair work for us — they simply take more time and more careful cutting, which is priced into your estimate.
Do I need a different carpet for stairs?
Stairs take more wear than any other part of the house, so we steer people towards a harder-wearing twist or a good wool blend rather than a very deep pile. We will tell you honestly if a carpet you like is not suited to stairs.
How long does fitting a staircase take?
A standard straight flight is usually done in a few hours. Stairs with winders, a landing or a runner with rods will take longer — we will give you a realistic time when we quote.
Can you carpet the stairs and landing to match?
Yes, and it is the most popular way to do it. We can also run a different carpet on the landing if you prefer, and finish the change neatly at the top step.
Do you fit stair carpets across Wrexham?
We do — the town centre, surrounding villages and nearby estates. Our showroom is on Park Road in Rhosymedre, so most Wrexham addresses are only a short run for us.
