Looking after it
- Vacuum regularly — most wear is caused by grit working into the base of the pile.
- Blot spills straight away with a clean cloth; never rub, as that pushes the stain into the backing.
- Use a barrier mat at external doors to catch dirt before it reaches the carpet.
- Expect some shedding from new wool carpets for the first few weeks — it is completely normal.
- Turn furniture occasionally so the pile does not flatten permanently in one spot.

Do you just fit carpets, or do you supply them too?
We supply and fit. You can choose from our showroom in Rhosymedre or we can bring samples to your home in Wrexham. If you already have your own carpet, we can usually fit it for you — just let us know when you book the measure.

Will your fitters move the furniture?
Yes, our own fitters will move normal household furniture. We ask that you empty wardrobes, drawers and any breakables beforehand, and let us know about anything very heavy or fragile.
Do you take the old carpet away?
We can lift and remove your old carpet and underlay as part of the job. Just mention it when we measure up so it is included in the estimate.
How long does carpet fitting take?
A typical room takes a couple of hours. Most whole-house jobs are finished in a day or two. Stairs take longer than they look, especially with winders or a runner and rods.
