Looking after it
- Sweep or vacuum regularly — grit is what dulls a laminate surface over time.
- Use a barely damp mop, never a soaking one; water in the joints is laminate's main enemy.
- Put felt pads under furniture feet before you slide anything across.
- Use a barrier mat at external doors to catch dirt and wet shoes.
- Wipe spills straight away rather than letting them sit on the joints.

Questions we get asked a lot
Do you supply the laminate as well as fit it?
We do both. You can choose from our showroom on Park Road in Rhosymedre, or we can bring samples to your home in Wrexham. If you have already bought your own laminate, we can usually fit it — just tell us when you book the measure.
Do I need underlay under laminate?
Yes. Underlay evens out small dips in the subfloor, softens the sound of footsteps and adds a little warmth. We will recommend the right one for your room and include it in the written estimate.
Can laminate go over my existing floor?
Sometimes. It depends on how flat and sound the existing floor is. We check that at the measure and tell you honestly whether it can be laid over or needs lifting first.
How long does laminate fitting take?
A typical living room or bedroom is done in a day. Larger open-plan areas or several rooms at once may take longer — we will tell you before we start.
What about doorways, skirtings and stairs?
Fitting includes trimming doors where needed, neat beading or scotia at the edges and matching door bars between rooms. Stairs are a separate job we are happy to quote for.
