Carpet types explained

Saxony: a deep, soft cut pile. Lovely in bedrooms, but it shows footprints in busy rooms.

Twist: a tightly twisted cut pile that hides marks and wears well. A good all-rounder for lounges, halls and stairs.

Wool and wool blends: naturally springy and warm, and they keep their look for years.

Loop pile: tough and textured, but loose loops can snag pet claws.

Herringbone: a woven pattern that's popular for lounges, landings and stairs.

Can I have different carpets in each room?

Yes. Many customers choose a softer carpet upstairs and a tougher one in the lounge, hall and stairs. We'll quote it all as one job.

Do you move furniture?

Ask when you book. We'll talk you through what needs moving before fitting day.

How much does it cost to carpet a bedroom?

It depends on the room size, the carpet and the underlay. We measure for free and give you an itemised quote, with gripper rods and door bars included free.
